Network Administrator

Overview

  • Provide technical and administrative support for LAN, using Windows operating systems, VMWare and Cisco Infrastructure Equipment and a variety of application software. Provide End-User helpdesk support. Maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users' utilization of them. Provide written documents which evaluate LAN information on periodic intervals.
    Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain and monitor Active Directory, email, server patching, backups, virus updates, hardware/software on network infrastructure, and network security. Make any recommendations accordingly.
  • Will also serve as a Helpdesk Technician to provide computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users
  • Install new software applications and hardware on the LAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.
  • Install configure and maintain workstations and printers on the LAN.
  • Monitor and maintain licenses on applications to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize technology to provide staff with a fast, accurate, and a secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the member in the fastest and most efficient manner possible.
  • Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions along with maintaining personal certification growth.
  • Create and keep adequate documentation of the network and any helpdesk resolutions.
Requirements

Required
  • At least 2 years experience in a Client/Server environment
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software.
  • Hardware build/maintenance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised during maintenance windows and maintain task oriented objectives to meet company goals
  • Microsoft MCP certification
Preferred:
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree
  • Experience with:
    • Sharepoint
    • Symantec Products
    • MS Exchange 2007
    • Windows 2003/2008 server
    • SQL Server
    • VM Ware
    • Cisco Switches
    • SAN experience

MS BI Architect

Overview

  • Hands-on, in-depth knowledge of relational and dimensional (data warehousing) databases in SQL Server 2005
  • Strong MS SQL Server development skills; experience writing T-SQL scripts, dynamic SQL, complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, SQLCMD, and SMO
  • Extensive experience in ETL design/development using MS DTS and SSIS
  • An understanding and working knowledge of data warehouse architecture and concepts including dimensional modeling and relational modeling
  • Strong understanding of metadata and data quality concepts; experience working with a metadata repository
  • Understanding of different end-user business intelligence tools (i.e., Crystal Reports, Performance Point Services, IBM Cognos, Business Objects) and how they interact with the dimensional model
  • Data handling across different data sources - Oracle, DB2, MS Access, MS Excel, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005 Database Engine, Notification Services and Reporting Services
Requirements

Required
  • Experience using database design tool tools such as ERWin.
  • Some exposure to SQL Server 2008
  • Experience in delivering BI solutions with MS SharePoint Performance Point Services
  • Experience in Requirements gathering, BI/DW solution design, project/team leadership
  • 5-7 years consulting experience, 2-3 years as an Architect or Senior BI Consultant

Preferred:
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications
