Krispy Kreme has embarked on a complete IT upgrade, which will involve PCMS rolling out its Vision BeanStore EPoS solution across Krispy Kreme’s UK portfolio. Work is also underway on transferring the existing IT infrastructure into PCMS' virtual model.
Over the past seven years, Krispy Kreme's business in the UK has grown from a start up business into a £30 million turnover enterprise. As a result, its existing IT infrastructure is now reaching capacity. At the same time, the doughnut company also wanted to evolve its EPoS system. After reviewing its Vision BeanStore system and comparing it against the current version of the software, the retailer decided to make the move to best meet its functionality needs.
For it's wider IT managed services, Krispy Kreme will join PCMS' shared virtual infrastructure. Rob Hunt, chief financial officer, comments: “PCMS has continuously helped us to evolve our processes and systems as we’ve grown. We’ve now reached capacity with our IT infrastructure and in order to have a robust and reliable service moving forward we need to undertake a significant upgrade. We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with them - the company understands our business and how we operate and the proposals they put together enable us to reconfigure our IT offering and take advantage of the latest developments."
